Holy Trinity Cathedral is a Greek Orthodox cathedral in Charlotte, North Carolina[1] The Cathedral is the only Eastern Orthodox Cathedral in the state of North Carolina, and the mother church of Greek Orthodoxy in North Carolina. Holy Trinity Cathedral is within the jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America led by Demetrios of America and the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Atlanta, led by Alexios of Atlanta.
Holy Trinity Cathedral hosts the Yiasou Greek Festival every year. The Yiasou Greek Festival began in 1978 and has become one of Charlotte’s largest cultural events. Yiasou Greek Festival features Hellenic cultural exhibits, authentic Greek food, entertainment, art, shopping and other activities.[2]
